CAMP Chainsen Pro Traction

CAMP Chainsen Pro Traction

The CAMP Chainsen Pro is Snowline's heavy duty microspike style traction for serious winter hiking and steep, icy approaches. Twelve stainless steel points on linked chains bite into ice and hardpack, and a cold tolerant elastomer harness stretches over nearly any boot or shoe.

Why We Carry It

When the trail is glazed and steep, this is the traction we reach for ourselves. The harness stays stretchy on the coldest mornings, which is not true of every pair out there.

Highlights

• Twelve point grip: Stainless steel lugs on a chain network flex with uneven ground for steady footing on ice and packed snow.
• Cold tolerant harness: The elastomer is rated to resist freezing down to about -76°F, so it still stretches on frigid days.
• Fits most footwear: Pulls over trail runners, hiking boots and winter boots.
• Stainless build: Steel chains and lugs resist rust through wet, salty winter use.

Best For

Icy winter hikes, steep packed trails, early season peak approaches and frozen running routes. A solid pick for a winter hike up a Sawatch 14er when the standard routes are packed and icy.
