A light, packable 3 layer ski touring shell that lives in your pack until the weather turns, then works like a full alpine jacket. Built by Raide in Carbondale with a freeride cut that actually skis well. Formerly called the TourTech Shell Jacket.

Why We Carry It

Your touring shell spends most of its life stuffed in a pack, so it has to be small and light without feeling fragile. The LF Hardshell hits that balance better than most, and it's built by a Colorado brand that tours the same kind of terrain we do.

Highlights

• TourShell-01 fabric: Raide's own 3 layer 30k/30k fabric with a hydrophobic membrane that stays breathable when wet, plus a nearly invisible UHMWPE ripstop for durability. PFAS free.
• Two chest pockets with beacon sleeves: Sit right between your sternum and hip belt, with laser perforated liners, elastic beacon sleeves and clip loops.
• Pass through pockets: Vent or reach your midlayer without unzipping; a snap closes them for normal use.
• Two way pit zips and cape mode: Dump heat on the skin track and keep the hood up while the front is unzipped.
• Helmet compatible hood: Room for a helmet on stormy descents.
• Hidden pass pocket: Envelope style sleeve pocket for sidecountry days.
• Two ways to pack: Stuffs into its own chest pocket or rolls into the hood with a built in cinch and hook.
• No powder skirt: Your pack's hip belt already does that job, so it's left off to save bulk.
