Voile Switchback X2 Short Black

The Switchback X2 is Voile's telemark touring binding with a free pivot for climbing and a stiffer, more powerful feel for the downhill. This is the short rod version, sold as a pair.

Why We Carry It

Tele is alive in the backcountry, and Voile builds this one in Utah around rigid springs and steel rods instead of cables. It is a proven binding for people who like to earn their turns.

Highlights

• Free pivot: flick the heel assembly with a pole to switch between climb and ski modes
• Stiffer cartridges: springs are 25% stiffer than the Switchback for more power
• Stainless toe plate: full wrap design without rivets, with a longer plate for more boot contact
• Enclosed design: helps prevent ice buildup
• Climbing elevators: dual height heel elevators at 65 mm and 100 mm
• Hardwire heel: cable position tuned for power transfer

Best For

Tele skiers touring the backcountry around Monarch Pass who want a light, powerful binding.
