Hyperlite Mountain Gear Southwest 55L Ultralight Backpack

Hyperlite Mountain Gear Southwest 55L Ultralight Backpack

The Hyperlite Mountain Gear Southwest 55L is a lightweight, very durable ultralight backpacking pack built for long miles and rough country. It is a simple, weather-resistant pack for hikers who want to cover serious ground over abrasive terrain.

Why We Carry It

The Southwest is a simple, tough pack for people who would rather put in miles than fiddle with features, and the Dyneema build shrugs off rough trail.

Highlights

• Woven Dyneema fabric: Keeps weight low while adding abrasion resistance for rocky, heavily used terrain.
• Weather resistant: Highly water-resistant materials protect gear in wet weather, so most of the time you can skip the pack cover.
• Comfortable carry: Redesigned shoulder straps and back panel spread the weight and cut down on fatigue over long days.
• Solid-fabric outer pockets: Stand up to brush and rock while keeping essentials easy to reach.
• Easier pocket access: Deeper pockets with lower cutouts make it simpler to grab water bottles on the move.
• Streamlined design: No extra frills, just what you need for extended trips.

Best For

Backpackers and thru-hikers who want a light, tough pack for multi-day trips, long trails and rugged terrain. Made for a multi-day loop through the Collegiate Peaks.
