Birkenstock Zermatt Shearling Slipper

Birkenstock's first true slipper, combining the legendary cork-latex footbed that has made the brand a household name with a wool felt upper and full shearling lining for the coziest, most supportive house slipper available. The Zermatt is what happens when decades of footbed engineering meets genuine warmth for cold winter mornings at home.

Why We Carry It
It's the slipper we recommend when someone wants something that actually supports their feet at home rather than a flat foam slipper that leaves them reaching for their orthotics after an hour.

Highlights

• Anatomically shaped cork-latex footbed lined with shearling — Birkenstock's iconic footbed in slipper form, deeply molded in the heel area to hold the heel bone in its natural position and support foot tissue the way a closed shoe does. Shearling lining adds genuine warmth and softness against the foot without compromising the structural support the cork footbed provides.
• Genuine wool felt upper — One of the oldest textile materials in the world for slipper construction. Soft, breathable, and naturally insulating for a comfortable upper that keeps feet warm without overheating.
• Full shearling footbed lining — High-quality sheep or lambskin that is warm, breathable, and temperature-regulating for year-round comfort. Shearling keeps feet warm in winter and wicks moisture efficiently enough to prevent overheating on milder days.
• Sustainable cork footbed — Extracted from the bark of cork oak trees without harming the tree for a naturally insulating, cushioning footbed material that conforms to the foot over time for a personalized fit that improves with wear.
• Latex outsole — A flexible, grippy sole appropriate for indoor use that provides enough traction on hard floors without the bulk of an outdoor sole.
• Decorative stitching detail — A refined finishing detail that gives the Zermatt a considered, quality look that stands out from a standard foam slipper.
• Made in Portugal — European manufacturing commitment from Birkenstock's Portuguese production facility.

Anyone who wants a genuinely supportive, warm house slipper that combines Birkenstock's legendary anatomical footbed with full shearling lining and a wool felt upper for cold winter mornings and all-day indoor comfort. A strong gift option and a worthy upgrade for anyone who spends significant time on their feet at home.
