ATK RT 11 EVO Alpine Touring Binding

A genuinely innovative ultralight touring binding that solves one of the most persistent problems in tech binding design. The RT 11 EVO's adjustable EVO toe piece applies increasing pressure as release begins, actively resisting unwanted pre-release in a way no other binding on the market does. At 325 grams with a DIN range of 3 to 11, it delivers serious downhill confidence in a package built for skis in the 80 to 97mm waist range.

Why We Carry It
It's the binding we were most excited to bring in after ATK's CEO pulled out a release graph to show us exactly what makes it different. After skiing it all last spring we can vouch for it ourselves — it's a genuinely better mousetrap for ultralight touring.

Highlights

• EVO adjustable toe piece with anti-pre-release geometry — The RT 11 EVO's toe pins apply increasing pressure as release begins rather than decreasing, which actively resists unwanted pre-release during dynamic skiing. A fundamental engineering advancement over standard tech toe pieces that addresses the most common complaint about touring bindings on the descent.
• Snowpack Proof System — All components in the toe piece are specifically designed to prevent snow and ice from accumulating under the locking mechanism for safe, easy operation on the coldest days with frequent transitions. A meaningful field reliability detail for ski mountaineers who transition often in variable conditions.
• Hybrid mounting pattern — Narrow at the front holes and wide at the rear for improved downhill performance and torsional stiffness. An ergonomic lever with a specific joint design makes opening, step-out, and closing easier with gloves on in the field.
• Cam Release System heel piece — ATK's signature patented system that contributes to effortless step-in and delivers exceptional torsional stiffness on the descent. Both lateral and vertical release values are adjustable for a safer, more personalized setup.
• EVO Brake System with single-hand operation — Rotate the binding head 180 degrees to activate the ski brake and switch to downhill mode, then step in and go. Rotate again and press the boot heel to lock the brake for the ascent. A streamlined transition system that works with one hand in any conditions.
• Elastic Response System — Facilitates natural ski flex for precise releases and optimal ski performance on the descent. 12mm of elastic heel travel maintains consistent contact and control in variable and chopped snow.
• 325-gram weight from 7075 aluminum — An exceptionally light binding for the level of downhill performance and release engineering it delivers. Built for skis in the 80 to 97mm waist range and ski weights from 1,000 to 1,600 grams per ski.
• DIN 3 to 11 release range — A wide range for skier weights from 30 to 95kg across ability levels from strong intermediates to expert ski mountaineers.
• Three walking modes: flat, +26mm, and +47mm — A complete riser system for efficient climbing across flat approaches, moderate pitches, and steep terrain with pole-activated adjustment.
• 20mm boot length adjustment — Accommodates different boot sole lengths without remounting for flexibility across different boot setups.
• RT family heritage since 2011 — A proven binding platform with over a decade of refinement and real-world testing behind it. The EVO update brings adjustable toe piece technology to a lineage that serious ski mountaineers already trust.
