Shovel accessed by dropping one shoulder strap with a pocket sized for shovels up to 11.5 inches wide and most large handles. Tools positioned on the side panels for better space efficiency and weight closer to your center of mass.
• Challenge Ultra 200TX main fabric — A 200 denier UHMWPE woven fabric that is 2x more tear-resistant and 8x more abrasion-resistant than competing ultralight fabrics with a 130k hydrostatic head rating. The highest strength-to-weight ratio yarn on the planet in a fabric construction built for serious mountain use.
• Back panel access with molded composite insert — Full access to the main compartment regardless of how skis are carried. A molded composite back panel with anti-bulge ribs that locks its shape even at full capacity, remains stiff horizontally to keep pressure off the spine and maintain airflow, and flexes vertically for easy access and natural movement.
• Modular ski and snowboard carry in four configurations — Diagonal ski carry in three positions including left, right, and skimo carry without removing the pack, A-frame ski carry, and vertical snowboard carry that attaches directly to the aluminum frame for increased stability. The most versatile carry system available in a touring pack at this weight.
• Removable 7mm aluminum frame — Runs the perimeter of the pack and anchors all ski and snowboard carry systems for a secure, stable load. Weighs 80 grams and strips out when not needed to bring total pack weight to 980 grams.
• 30L expandable to 38L via waterproof rolltop — A waterproof rolltop extension for big gear days and overnight objectives without committing to a larger pack for everyday use.
• Integrated helmet carry — Built directly into the pack rather than clipped on for a secure, stable helmet carry that is strong enough to carry crampons inside the helmet. Positioned high to stay clear of ski and snowboard carries and allow the pack to lay flat on its front.
• Two quick-access stash pockets with drainage — Fast transitions without digging through the main compartment. Front stash pocket with drainage separates wet skins from dry gear.
• Top zip for quick access — A pass-through zipper to the top of the main compartment for fast layer access unobstructed by the helmet carry.
