The Spark R&D Surge ST is a powerful splitboard binding trusted by professional big-mountain riders and seasoned backcountry locals alike. Built for big days and consequential lines, the Surge ST delivers maximum control and stability when conditions get steep, firm, or unpredictable.

A solid baseplate design, stiffer Asym Rip ‘N’ Flip highbacks, and supportive Pillow Line ankle straps provide a locked-in feel and precise edge control on the descent. Compared to the Arc ST, the Surge ST offers a stiffer, more aggressive ride suited for riders who want confidence at speed and in technical terrain.

Like all Spark bindings, the Surge ST is built on Spark R&D’s proven Tesla T1 system for fast, tool-free transitions. Smooth Touring (ST) Tech is integrated into the ST Brackets and ST Whammy Bars, using a proprietary thermoplastic blend molded over metal components to reduce friction, increase durability, and improve touring efficiency on the skin track.

Demo condition

This binding was part of our demo fleet and has been professionally maintained and inspected by our shop staff. Expect normal light wear consistent with demo use, including light scuffs on high-contact areas. Fully functional and ready for many more seasons in the backcountry.
