MSR Men's Lightning Explore

MSR Men's Lightning Explore

The MSR Men's Lightning Explore is a light, technical snowshoe for winter hikers who head into steeper, more varied terrain. A 360-degree traction frame, Ergo Televators and the Paradigm binding make it a serious step up from basic flat-trail snowshoes.

Why We Carry It

This is the snowshoe we point to when someone wants to do more than walk flat trails. It is light, grips well and climbs easily.

Highlights

• 360-degree traction frame: 7075-T6 aluminum frame grips on every side for traverses and icy slopes.
• Ergo Televator heel lifts: Flip them up with a pole to ease calf strain on steep climbs.
• Paradigm binding: Comfortable stretch mesh binding that fits a range of footwear and can be fixed in the field.
• TPU-coated nylon deck: Light and quieter on packed snow than hard plastic.
• Tail ready: Accepts 5-inch MSR flotation tails, sold separately.
• Made in USA: Built from US and imported materials.
