MTN Rangers Avalanche Dragons

MTN Rangers Avalanche Dragons

Mountain Mtn. Rangers: Avalanche Dragons by Erin C. McCrea is a kids picture book that follows Goat and Moose through a backcountry ski day with avalanche avoidance and a close call. It's a gentle, well illustrated way to get your kids thinking about snow safety early.

Highlights

• Avalanche awareness: Introduces kids to how avalanche terrain works and how to stay out of trouble.
• Story driven: The rangers deliver winter supplies to Wise Old Elk, so the lessons come through an adventure with colorful illustrations.
• Gives back: Part of the project benefits the Utah Avalanche Center and the Know Before You Go program.

Best For

Backcountry skiing families who want to start avalanche education at home before the kids join a tour on Monarch Pass.
