Salomon Women's X Ultra 5 Mid Gore-Tex

Salomon Women's X Ultra 5 Mid Gore-Tex

The Salomon Women's X Ultra 5 Mid Gore-Tex is a waterproof mid cut hiking shoe for women who want capable, confident footing across a wide range of trail conditions without hauling a heavy boot.

Why We Carry It

The X Ultra is one of the most trusted hikers out there, and the descending grip is the reason we keep it on the wall.

Highlights

• Gore-Tex waterproofing: Dry feet in mud and creek crossings with no long break in.
• Matryx upper: A tough woven material that resists abrasion better than standard mesh and stays lighter than leather.
• Contagrip outsole: Salomon's traction compound handles wet rock, mud and mixed surfaces, especially on descents.
• Mid cut support: Adds stability on uneven ground without locking the ankle down.
• 11mm drop: Supports a natural heel strike and a stable base on rocky or rooted trail.
• Moderate cushioning: Light enough to move well, with the underfoot protection technical ground calls for.

Best For

Women hikers on single day routes across wet, rocky or muddy terrain, from early spring through late fall. A good pick for climbing a Sawatch 14er.
